So today I broke my 6700, I need a replacement LCD and I dont know which one. Would anyone happen to know? Or maybe a place where I can get it fixed. 2ndly if i am forced to buy a new one could anyone please pm me the amoamare firmware(yes i know he asked for it to be taken down) but i am in desperate need. Thanx in advance.

I can't answer your repair question offhand, but Amoamare doesn't want his ROM passed around anymore. No worries though, you can create your own ROM within a few minutes thanks to amoamare's contribution to the kitchen over at PPCGeeks.com; your MMS and WAP will work right out of the box. If you're worried that it'll be too difficult to make your own ROM, then don't be--it really is just checking boxes of the programs that you want installed and then clicking a button.
 
i have a quest 6700 everything works on it, except for the power button on top , it works to turn it on, but when i try to turn it off (hold the power button down) it only toggles the backlight off/on... anyone know it this is a setting, or phone problem?
 
ah really? sorry i didnt know that... i could have sworn the last 6700 i had when i flashed it for someone it turned off and on..might be mistaking though... are all the 6700's like that? thanks isriam
 
they aren't ALL like that. just some of them. HTC devices you can turn on/off like a regular phone. i hope the 6800 you can power off, but i doubt it.

I can't understand why CDMA devices vary so much from GSM.
