Xperia Sim lock?

I have funny X10 on my hand.

1. Works fine, picks all the signals and wifi works as well
2. If I put sim card, the phone says "Activating phone" FOREVER
3. Without sim card, I can use all the functions on the phone.
4. When I go SIM card lock settings(wihtout sim), the "Lock SIM card" is on(checked mark)
5. If I try to change the password(dont know password but just guessing) it doesnt prompt anything.
6. However, if I put password more than 9digit, it says incorrect password.


I tried many different sim card but it hangs on the "Activating phone"

If I put phone into Airplane mode during "Activating phone", the phone works like it doesnt have simcard.


Is it because of sim lock?
I actually thought about its imei block by carrier but I tested and its not.
 
On the secret menu, it says like this

[] Network 5
[] Network subset 5
[] Service provider 5
[] Corporate 5
[] SIM 0
 
At this moment you can only unlock it via codes. And you need to buy. Go to online service section or main sales section. You'll find guys who sell codes.

I would very happy to unlock and remove simlock with code.
However, when I see the video of unlocking X10 with code, it must prompt when I insert different Sim card

Right now, whenever I insert any kind of simcard, the phone stuck at "Activating Phone"
I left the phone for 10hours but nothing changes.

Is it because of Sim Lock?
 
Do a factory reset or re-flash as it appears you have an app installed that allows use of the handset without sim, maybe "wosim" etc
 
Yes, I can boot the phone without sim.
The problem is that how can I put unlock code if the phone is not accepting simcard?
Which means that the phone doesnt display unlock dialog!!
 
I am having the same annoying problem, The phone now is not usable at all with SIM inserted

help please
 
I had my phone since April, got it from Rogers and unlocked it on ATT, it has been working wonderful but since yesterday the phone does not want to work. When I put my SIM card in it all I get is activating phone screen and it wont go to the desktop!

When I take the SIM card out the phone function normally, put the SIM back in stuck at phone activation screen!!!!!

I dont know what to do, the phone is setting there and I cant use it
 
update firmware with seus and activation screen will be gone.
done a few pcs wth this annoing problem.
