Xopenex vs. Albuterol

`My daughter is using Albuterol. She used to use Xopenex, but we switched because of cost. I notice her heart seems to be racing a bit while she is sleeping tonight. Is this a common side effect with Albuterol? Can this racing heartbeat hurt her? Should I discontinue use? What are your experiences with Albuterol?
 
Yes, albuterol will raise your heatbeat in the beginning. Most people find that goes away after a while...particularly since the change to HFA propellant from the CFCs. It hasn't bothered me in years. How old is she?
