Xbox 360 will not play an old Xbox Game?

I try to play Turok Evolution in my xbox 360 and an error message saying (The game could not start, please download again). I am using a harddrive AND the game is NTSC which doesn't bring up any region issues.

What can I do to play this game? I already formatted my harddrive with the xx LB RB xx trick or whatever it is. But that doesn't help.

My console is an old pro. Because the disc drive tray is silver and not white like the arcades.

And turok IS on the backwards compatible list.
 
Some games are still unsupported for backward compatibility. Microsoft keeps adding compatibility for Xbox games with every update but there are still some that will not work.
