Xbox 360 VGA cable audio to headphone help....?

i have a Xbox 360 with the HD VGA cable hooked up to it and the audio jack on it ... (like the ones you plug into ipods or computer jack) .. but i want to make the sound go into my headphones and not into my monitor so is there a way to change the gender of the jack so i can make my 360 audio to my headphones?
