no, but I trust the professionals for the most part. From what I hear the only worthwhile game right now on the PS3 is Resistance, and just looking at that game, and then looking at Gears of War...uhh...no. Not worth $600. Not right now.
Madden on PS3 has worse graphics, Gundam is a shitty game, untold legends is a shitty game, the online system is garbage, etc...look it up, bro. I'm getting one of these one day, but the games I like are MGS, Final Fantasy, God of War, Devil May Cry, and hopefully the price will have gone down by then.

I am doing my own research. I'm playing all the games by week 3 of PS3.
Restistance is a great launch title. OMG. Its insane at times. Madden looks as good as it did on the 360. I'm kind of enjoying the football aspect of it. I never noticed it on the 360 but when you get hit, YOU GET HIT. They fall to the ground like magnets on opposite ends. Its funny.
So far, I've had more fun with the PS3 than the 360. That's just me.

A little better than most first gen launches, if you get my drift. Very colorful for a WWII/post apocalyptic shooter. Very fluid and rarely skips if at all. Insomniac spent a good amount of time making sure everything looks right. Yeah, compared to Gears, it won't stand out. It's more of a COD look and feel.
People fall over, keel over, whatever. They're dead and they look eerie. Not Hollywood type movie but pretty good. Its 9.1 from IGN is well deserved.
The AI is semi intelligent. I've seen some neat things. Mostly taking cover but what was cool is that if you're quiet and hiding, they'll approach your last known position. They won't make any qualms about it. They'll come in guns ablazing. But I'd compare them to something like Elites on speed.
