XBOX 360 - No picture or sound on the TV?

Sometimes my Xbox 360 won't show up on the TV. It boots up normally (green lights) and it no sound or picture comes through. Sometimes it will load up with no problems! I haven't had the red ring of death, so I really don't know what the problem is.

Any ideas? Thanks :)
The AV cables are connected fine.
 
Get NEW cables. You might have a short. See if you can borrow a set from someone. Happened to my PS2 cables. I got a nice 3rd party set that let me hookup my PS2, XBOX & SNES.

You might have a short in your TV. The TV our SNES is hooked up to needs a little 'percussive maintenance' from time to time. Give it (the tv not the 360) a good whack, and wiggle the jack itself, or try a different TV.

If the situation persists with new cables, tv and you're still in warranty (usually 2yrs) contact MS for a fix cause I don't know.
