xbox 360 need help

I will probably get flammed, but here goes - just bought a 360. Have played about 20 games of Madden 07. The question is this - how come I can get my gammer level to go up, I save my franchise, but when I log back on, I always start at gammer level 1?

How do I save the gammer level? When I save the franchise it saves to where I left off, but always back at the lowest level with no achievements.

did you create a profile? when you first turn the game on it should give you that option to do so, you may have missed it when you booted up the disc the very first time
