Xbox 360 live - Cant hear audio through my speakers on tv?

I the setting to play though headest and tv speakers at the same time (both). but the sound from the chat never come out of speakers and i switched to just speakers and still no sound? but all the regular game play audio works just fine just cant hear teammates talking how do i fix this? i have the standard wired mic
