xbox 360 headset problems ?

its rely werd but when i put my headset in(it is wired) i can hear everyone else but it just dosnt work


any suggestions
 
i had the same problem and all i did was turn off the xbox 360 wait 5 Min's and it should be working

yes i know the problem. I had the exact same thing. I feel ya. Anyways the thing is, itf your mic is offical microsoft, then it did its time; although it shouldnt have those problems until you drop the headset many times. A second option, is if your mic is bootleg, i.e. bought on ebay, like i did when my headset got messed, then you will have to get a new headset. The ones sold on eBay are bootleg and will last as long as you keep them REALLY safe, but either way they will eventually get messed up.
 
Yeah check the part were u plug it in ur mic might be broken just the way mine was( when u plug it in to ur controller check of the tip of the medal part is missing if it is then ur Mic is messed up just buy another its only 20 dollars not even like 19 something
 
Try plugging it in, then disconnect and reconnect your controller. If that doesn't work, you may need to buy a new headset.
 
xbox headsets dont tend to last long 2 of mine have done this on my third now, think a cable inside snaps off, i took mine apart and there was a loose cable on both so i guess best to buy a new headset
 
I'm on my 4th headset , the one that came with my 360 had the same problem you have so I bought another one , they wear out pretty easy. Check your controllers batterys and turn your 360 off for a few minutes then try it.
