I do not know but I recomend letting it sit out for a while(sometimes overheats and they have wierd ways of telling you). Also you can call microsoft and ask whats wrong but since you got it from a friend you don't have a warrenty to get it actually fixed. DO NOT BUY A NEW DISK DRIVE. if you do microsoft will find out and they'll ban your account. It could be used for cheating. Good Luck ☺!

SRG SK9 he did not have RROD his power button was flashing green.
 
...could this be,? my xbox 360 disk drive, will not open and the power button flashes green, what could this be, can i send it to microsoft and get it fixed, also i got the xbox from a friend where can i look to see if he tried to open it or not (aka the tamper sticker) any help would be appreciated, ty
 
First off, just simply call Xbox. 1-800-4MY-XBOX. That way, you will be able to explain the situation and you if you do have to send it in, then you get a free repair, just tell them about 5 minutes later that your console has RROD. Next, if they whine about the tamper stickers or whatever, just tell them you bought it used. That way, your not reliable. That is the best way to handle this problem.
