I want to legitly pay for and download Geometry wars retro evolved 2 for the xbox 360. i hav the original on pc and i love it. now for the problem: my xbox is permabanned because the dvd drive is modded and i guess the person that i got it from just wasnt careful enough. Here is what i want to do, you guys tell me if it will work.
1. Take my account off the hard drive with the transfer cable to uncorrupt the account, then put it back on the hard drive so it can be used on unbanned xboxs.
2. Plug my hard drive into my friends brand new xbox 360 elite.
3. Sign my account up for xbox live silver, and redeem a 1600 microsoft points card.
4. Purchase and download geometry wars 2, and if i have enough points left over trials hd also.
5. Take the hard drive back to my banned xbox where it can no longer connect to the live.
Will the game(s) still work without xbox live connection? I guess they should because there is a game already on the xbox thats like bejeweled that i can play whenever but i want to make sure before i buy the card. Thank you all!
