ok ...what THE FUCK was that ....i just went and saw it today, i dont think i have ever been so dissapointed about a movie EVER ......wtf it doesnt follow the storyline, or ANYTHIING , and the dialogue half the time was cheesy, and wtf was with all the sappy music and mood ? fuck man.... also they werre INCREDIBLY unacurate with some of the characters ... like when juggernaught "mutant powers " stop working before he hits his head on the wall and ko's himself ....wait....JUGGERNAUGHT DOESNT FUCKING HAVE MUTANT POWERS !!! he gets his strength from that ruby like jewel in his chest .... omfg they fucked this up i could go on and on .... 5/10 my rating .... anyone else pissed about this ??

I have never seen the x-men comics, only the first two movies. From that standpoint, the movie was absolutely awesome.

I was speaking to a friend about the movie and from his standpoint as a fan of the X-Men series, the movie was completely random. Characters were not portrayed properly (juggernaut was not an englishman, nor was he a mutant, so losing his powers from the anti-mutant kid didn't make any sense), cool characters did not appear (gambit), characters died when they weren't supposed to or not at all (ex. xavier, cyclops), phoenix was never that powerful, the anti-x-men kid never existed, archangel and the duplicating guy had like 2-second roles, the girl that walked through walls was never a member of the x-men team, etc. Needless to say, my x-men fan friend was deeply disappointed and I was as well after finding out all these changes. I would have been just as entertained if they'd have stuck to the original plot(s).

That is very far from the truth...Phoenix was capable of destroying planets. She was more powerful than galactus. They didn't portray her power nearly enough IMO.

Ok they changed Juggernaut to fit the story. Not that big a deal.
Who cares if Gambit didn't show up? He's more overrated then Wolverine.
The characters getting killed was a little strange but that's probably so if they make an x-men 4 and those don't want to come back they have a reason not to bring them back. You never actually see Jean kill Scott and Professor X is in a new body and Magneto is getting his powers back so they can explain everything pretty easy.
Anti-x-men kid? You mean the kid they used to get the cure? Leech? Yeah he's real. He's a murlok.
Angel was gay anyway who cares. If he was Archangel it would've been different.
The girl who walked through walls was a member of the X-men. Her name is Kitty Pride. Love interest of Colossus.

I loved the movie. Thought it was really good. Guess I'm not as big a comic nerd as others. Or I'm just not one of those elitist pricks who thinks everything should be 100% accurate.

mother fucking

you're worse than the fucking star trek/star wars geeks....it's a fucking movie, get over it, hollywood always adds their own things when converting comics/cartoons into movies.

They could have been using the Ultimage Juggernaut version where he isn't Professor X's stepbrother and was born a mutant with super strength but abilities were enhanced by the gem.

I saw the movie twice this weekend... I though it was good, but I didn't like the fact they killed so many good guys and not one bad guy was killed off. I would have liked to have seen Gambit. Sux Rough gave up her powers and wasn't part of any of the fighting or really even part of the Xmen. I'm sure they can make another movie... you never see Scott dead... Professor X and Jean Grey can always come back b\c of their powers and it looks like "the cure" isn't perfect...

If they had copied the Dark Phoenix story frame-for-frame from the original comics, it would've been one of the most ridiculous movies in history.

At thirteen, Kitty was the youngest person to join the X-Men. During the 1980s, she played "kid sister" to many older members. She matured over a long career with the group and its European offshoot Excalibur.
