X Men Origins:Wolverine

i thought it was brilliant. totally main stream but i wouldnt expect any less...

thought sabretooth was stand out. Will.i.am suprised me entirely and wasnt out of place. nicely worked in other characters inc cyclops and gambit.

deapool was freakin scary at the end. thought that was brilliantly done because it could have been so easily cheesy.

Aging as a child is due to growing, so he should age normally as a youth. Aging as an adult is due to slowly deteriorating cells (ie dying) and this wouldn't affact him, as he heals from all damage. Technically, he should age to about 21 and stop there, but you have to give a bit of artisitc leeway to the fact that Hugh Jackman will age, even if the character doesn't.

I'm pretty sure Gambit didn't believe Wolverine when he said he was after Victor and assumed he was sent by Stryker to re-capture him. Stopping Wolvie from kiling Victor was probably an accident, as he couldn't see the fight. He then realised, once he saw what was going on, that Wolvie really was on his side.

He could heal from any injury, but the adamantium made him unbreakable. I would have thought the scenes before the op and after it should have made it clear what a difference the adamantium made to his strength and resilience. He didn't need to heal his bones any more, because they were flippin' metal bars!

rewatched original x-men last night, hope to fit in x2 and 3 before i see this,i love x-men films but this is about 1 man only....

GAMBIT

I thought it was really good, it did lagg at times and the plot was really hard to get a feel of around the start but it soon became great. I loved Ryan Reynold's Deadpool, infact all of the supporting cast were great including Will.I.Am! Jackman brought the beef home as usual, I loved the scene with him in the water tank, that was really well done. Anyone who loves a good action, CGI, super-intense film with a great cast and plot then I'd recommend you to go see it. I did prefer the X-Men films but this was just as good and I hope if they are to continue the X-Men movie franchise in any way then they should do it with a few more origins, I'd love to see a Storm one and a Magneto one. Overall I'd give it a 7/10.

One more thing.............
What the frek was up with Xaviers face?!?!?!?

the action wasn't good though! terribly directed, cheap looking CGI

no wonder this film has got such bad reviews. just a shame it has taken so much money as they'll make more now. they just end up ruining the memory of X2 with films like the last stand and now this..

Having just watched X1 again, I did pick up on the exact same things. But let's face it that is just us as viewers trying to retro fit it together. Let's not forget Wolverine also sniRAB in the wooRAB in X3 showing he just smells another mutant, not that he recognizes the particular mutant.

Ok, Wolverine's memory loss can explain why he doesn't recognize Sabretooth. But in the dialogue Xavier says Logan can't remember anything before his procedure. So that has been changed.

End of the day it is hard to accept that the X1 Sabretooth is even the same character as the Wolverine one.

best

The inference is that Sabretooth has devolved.

Which isn't too much of a leap given the way he becomes more & more animalistic during the prequel's run time.

I agree. I think it could have got very messy. When the film was announced I really thought it would be very distant from the existing films. When I heard Sabretooth was in it I was wondering how they would get round the fact he has a history with Logan, but doesn't seem to acknowledge that in the first film. Not to mention how he is a total animal in that film.

I agree he definitely devolves in the prequel and that goes some way to explain the Tyler Man Sabretooth in X1. But in my own mind, I still can't connect the two.

he was superimposed as were all the young mutants

they reverse aged his face with cgi, just like they did in the flash backs scenes with a young jean grey in last stand

I really enjoyed Wolverine despite the terrible reviews. Its a good film and I hope that we get a sequel as the scene after the end credits shows!

Liked the film, could have been better with a deeper plot, but as a blockbuster action movie it was thoroughly enjoyable. Nowhere near as good as X2 though.

Me and my frienRAB were the only ones that stayed in the cinema until the end of the credits, imagine my disappointment when all we got was Logan sat in a bar taking a sip of his drink.

Both post-credits scenes are floating around on YouTube if you search for them, just watched the Deadpool/Weapon XI ending which is much better and effectively promises a sequel.
