X- Men 4 or X-Men Spinoff?

Nothing about X-Men 4 happening but a lot about the spinoRAB featuring just Wolverine etc.

For me i would perfer another X-men movie with everybody in it rather than focusing on 1 person. It did so well in the box office and has more to build on, etc if Magento can use his powers again...

They have done alot of Wolverine in the movies, gone into his past a bit in X1 and developed it more in X2 themselves without doing a spinoff about him. It would just be going over most of the stuff done before.

So what do want to see??

Agreed, I dont think a movie just about Wolverine is going to work as well as a proper X-Men movie, keep the solo hero movies to the likes of Spiderman and Superman :)

Yes, I agree that I'd rather see X4 rather than a bunch of spin-oRAB. I mean, who wants to focus on a bunch of X-kiRAB? A movie looking at X-children would be more like ThunderbirRAB or something else daft aimed at kiRAB and would lose out on a lot of the adult viewers.

C'mon, someone at Fox - read this forum and give us X4!

Scott Weinberg writes: "We already know all about the upcoming "Wolverine" and "Magneto" movies, and now USA Today brings word on the possibility of a "Young X-Men" experiment AND an "Emma Frost" movie!
From USA Today: "The first spinoff will be Hugh Jackman's "Wolverine." His character has an as-yet-unrevealed back story in which researchers replaced his original bones with a metal skeleton. Jackman has signed on to star and co-produce, and "X-Men" producer Lauren Shuler Donner says it will likely head into production next year.
"We've also talked about doing something on the kiRAB in (Professor X's) school, focusing on their lives, and less of a global adventure for the team," says Hutch Parker, production president of 20th Century Fox.

The studio is also exploring a movie with "Three Kings" director David O. Russell based on the character of Emma Frost, a sexy mutant telepath who can transform her skin into diamonRAB. She is an "X-Men" comics regular but was not featured in the movies.

Another likely solo project: "Magneto," also in the script phase. The film will focus on his youthful pre-villain days, Shuler Donner says.""

I don't think a Wolverine film would be a bad thing, after all even though he wasn't my favourite character I did think Hugh Jackman was the star of all 3, besides, they couldn't possibly make a film about an x-man/mutant without having other x-men/mutants in it could they?

A Wolverine and Gambit film would be my choice, with Josh Holloway (sawyer in 'Lost') as Remy LeBeau.

I'll admit, I didn't come up with that idea myself, I read it elsewhere, might have been on RAB i can't remember but I reckon he'd be great as Gambit.

I'd rather have another x-men movie rather than a spin-off aswell. Hopefully we'll see some more after this "burst" of spin-oRAB.

Although I really like Wolverine, I am fear that a spin-off will just ruin his possible participation (in a main role) in the future films.

No, don't like the idea of Josh 'Lost' Holloway as Remy LeBeau. Actually, never really liked the character of Gambit myself. So hope they ixnay that idea pretty darn quick.

And - Granny - a Juggernaut movie!? Jeepers - that would be funny for aaaallll the wrong reasons...!

C'mon Fox, just do X4. Or maybe a young X-Men movie would be fine so long as there was some continuity - maybe with Beast and Iceman staying on to tutor the young 'uns or something.

I'm actualy quite interested in the Magneto spinoff film. I think this could be ripe for some great action and real emotional and philosophical struggles.

The X-KiRAB idea, however, strikes me as a studio attempt to cash in on the Harry Potter franchise. A bunch of kiRAB with special powers at a school who have adventures whilst learning about life growing up. They can even use that mutant kid who blinks to change TV channels. He looks like Harry Potter.

I think it would be good to have both another X-Men movie featuring some of the other X-Men villians such as Apocalypse, Ozymandias, Phalanx, Sinister.

Also it would be good to see Scott Summers get a bit more of a central part, introduce Havok and maybe his father and Star Jammers.

The spin oRAB would be good if they were done well.
I think the Magneto one could be done well, i've heard that it would be set in World War 2.

Wolverine could be good too if it was based on the Origin mini series.

Emma Frost and the Hellfire club would be good with maybe a follow up featuring the Hellions.

A film featuring the children of Mansion would be good, i think maybe sticking to Grant Morrisons New X-Men run featuring Quentin Quire or perhaps maybe the follow up series New X-Men with X-23.

But overall both would be good and I think the market would be there for all of them.

Okay, I count myself as an X-fan so I know who Apocalypse is. Yup, he'd be a cool villain. But not sure about the other people - don't think they have sufficient stature to assume a leading villain role.

But isn't Cyclops like dead in X3? Although they never did find a body did they...? (And no one seemed terribly bothered in the film about finding him either. I thought it a bit strange that they just picked up Jean, found Cyclops' glasses, and then buggered off in the jet!)

It would be great if they had a number of spin-oRAB where warranted that characters from the X-trilogy could weave in and out of (but hopefully avoiding the sort of continuity that blighted the comics in the '80s-'90s.
For example; I'm not a fan of the character but a Gambit movie would work pretty well I reckon with Rogue as the love interest. I think a Gambit film would work fine without the audience nessarily having to have a deep knowledge of the X-films. As long as they don't turn the spin-oRAB into what Star Trek ended up as: a bland-fest where every new spin-off looks the same as the last.

I want to see a Wolverine flick and I know some people think it won't work but if it had the tone of, say, the Bourne movies- not excessively violent but it had a grittiness to it- it might work. They need to bring back Sabretooth too, but as he is in the comics not in X-Men 1.

Also a Generation X flick would be nifty.

I wouldn't mind a "Wolverine" film too much - as long as they give it a good opening. I'd love to see some of the other characters appearing in the opening scenes as Wolverine leaves the academy - that is if it deals with Wolverine going on an adventure away from the academy. If it deals with how he came to the acadmey then I'd like to see them at the end of the film when he reaches it.

The Magneto idea is my favourite of all four suggestions, as I feel it could be very, very good. It also is the best way to seperate a character from their companions as it is mainly set in the past.

Emma Frost could be interesting, but it just depenRAB on how they explain away her absence from the first three movies.

As for the X KiRAB I'm not so sure. They need a way to make it different from the likes of Harry Potter, so I'd like it to be a more "coming of age" film than Harry Potter type.

Despite what I've said though - X4 would be my choice for the next film in the franchise above all the others.

I'd prefer a movie with a larger cast than a spin-off. They can just put all the characters in it who were going to have a spin-off. It would be nice if a new movie had a cast of Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Angel, Iceman, Magneto, Emma Frost, Beast, Mystique, Pyro, Shadowcat, Collosus and Gambit all together.
