X-Men 3

SounRAB about right he was involved with Wolverine, think it was Captain America and Wolverine that put him down but im sure in the marvel universe theres plenty more involvment;)

HURRAH!

It will be strange if they can't get back the original actors back.... I heard Halle didn't want to do Storm again.... no idea judging by how crap Gothika was.

No problem. To add to the confusion- it appears that some region 1 DVRAB have been given all the deleted scenes mistakenly! Apparentely Fox were holding them, and the second disc, back for a 3.5 edition next year.

Apocalypse will take away his feathers and give him metalic indestructable wings in Xmen 4 anyhow

Wait I can now wake up;)

Yeah im not too fussed wrinkley wise, make up can do wonders regardless and Jean looks lovely regardless...

Magneto/Ian however may need more then a botox session possibly nappies.

Id like to see the original Xmen team coming back, as in all of them....maybe even throw in Morph and Gambit this time, would be good also to bring back the nightcrawler and the new younger mutants. They can all fit in they just need to split them all up and give them seperate missions......

Oh I so hope they come back with another sequel to Xmen cos it just feels like the start....

I was not overly happy with the movie but being a huge X-Men fan it is to be expected.

I think the main thing that annoyed me was the lack of use with Rogue...why bother to have her in the film at all.

Appartently a new X Men 3 trailer is due to be shown on American TV next monday during a two hour special of 24. So I guess it will be available to watch on the internet a few hours afterwarRAB!

Far from it, it had the second highest Box Office opening behind only Star Wars Episode 3. I think for the first 2 days it is only behind Episode 3, Spider-Man, Harry Potter 4 and Shrek 2.

It took $32.5 million on its opening day in the US.

Maybe not lesbian characters, but he uses lesbianism to sell.

He did it in firefly, he did it in Buffy and he certainly did it in Angel. He cashs in on it... No denying it.

and lets look at his history as a movie writer.

The Buffy Movie : FLOP
Toy Story : SUCCESS
Alien Resurrection : FLOP
Titan AE : FLOP
Atlantis : The Lost Empire : FLOP

and now he have Serenity coming, the movie of a flop TV show.

The guy destroys whatever he touches, KEEP HIM AWAY FROM X-MEN!

I doubt they'd put a Morph character into the films. I don't recall him from the comics (but then I'm not a hardcore fan - so someone feel free to correct me). I think he's just from the cartoon. So I think they would be more likely to introduce into the film series a 'proper' character.

I would say the other big character intorduced in X2 was Pyro (although he's on the brotherhood's side eventually) as he represents the betrayer

X Men 3 screenwriter has been talking to Movieholes Clint Morris about X Men 3:

What are you working on?
I’m working on “X-Men 3” right now. It’s in the re-writing stages. It’s supposed to start filming in two or three months.

Does that mean the pressure is on for you?
The pressures always on [Laughs] …with these kind of movies. They hired a director [Matthew Vaughn] a couple of weeks ago, so now I’m really working with him to put his vision in the script.

Will “X-Men 3” be about Dark Phoenix?
I’m not allowed to say, but your guess is…. it was set up pretty well in the second movie. So, that’s part of the third movie, but there’s a new plot that’s the story of the film.

What of the rumours that James Marsden mightn’t be coming back?
I believe he is now. The way I’ve written his character now – I’m trying to write him so he only has to come back for a couple of weeks. But he’s definitely a part of the movie.

Any more comic-book movies in your future?
I don’t know, maybe, I do love these guys at Marvel Films. But as I said, the next thing I’ll write will probably be an original in contrast to an adaptation, but you never know. I do love most of their books…

Any superhero you’d like to bring to the screen?
The truth is, my favourite comic book of all time was the X-Men. I told them my dream was to write X-Men. I don’t actually love the comics, but I love the “Spider-Man” movies, so if I got a call to work on Spidey-3 I’m sure I would. “X-Men 3” will keep me busy for a little while though.

So it looks like James Marsden will definatly only be having a cameo in X Men 3 due to his filming on Superman 3!

It looks like Wolverine spin off film is planned to be released next year as this was on the Hollywood Reporter website confiming this:

"The promise of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine headlining a spinoff of 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" franchise next year was a highlight of Day 2 here at Cine Expo.

The day also saw MPAA chairman and CEO Dan Glickman deliver an industry rallying cry, the awarding of the Nielsen EDI International Gold Reel prizes and a slick 20th Century Fox showreel with an appearance by directors' Shawn Levy and David Frankel.

20th Century Fox promised the gathered exhibitors a Jackman starrer titled "Wolverine" for next year and Jackman himself sent the show a taped promise to back up the news."

Yeah - that struck me as strange at the time too. Although I guess all dramatic film battles take place by night - in the same way that horror movie monsters only usually appear when it's dark. So that's just one of the things we have to put up with - although it would have taken all of an extra 5 or 6 seconRAB to have had some time lapse photography of the sun setting...
