X-Men 3

I dont know if this rumour about Alan Cumming dont retruning for X3 is true as Avi Arad was talking about X3 recently to MTV.com and he had this to say:

"I've never seen a reaction like that," Arad says of the Internet buzz that erupted after the casting of Kelsey Grammer as Beast was announced. He also confirms that Vinnie Jones will play Juggernaut and that the cast from the first two movies are "all coming back." Regarding Jean Grey's possible evolution at the end of the last movie, however, Arad says, "Dark Phoenix should not be the centerpiece of the movie."

So Nightcrawler maybe back?

I think that was pretty much confirmed by the last scene before the credits. :)

There's also a whole load more mutants out there than just those ones and I'd never call them the main ones. It's very much an ensemble piece where the story is much bigger than any one character. That's why Wolverine has to disappear off and have his own spin-off and why people have been so shocked at the 'deletion' of so many characters. :D

OMG what a fantastic film!!!

Having read here that you should wait to the end of the credits to see you-know-who inhabiting that body, I feel bad for the 98% who left without seeing it!

Phoenix was just awesome, and I just loved Kelsey Grammar's Beast.

Seeing it again tomorrow, yes I am that much of a loser....

According to TheXverse.com website Gambit will not be in X3. The website said "Today, Ralph Winter (one of the film's producers) confirmed to The Xverse that there is no appearance by Gambit in X-Men 3 -- but that it might be included in "the next one". This indicates that despite any possible plans to end the series with a trilogy, people involved with production are open to future X-sequels".

Thanks! You must be really popular at your local cinema. :D

Not a big suprise though, someone always used to lose their powers in the cartoon & they have to kill some characters off to bring in new ones.

It is being reported now that 15-year-old Ellen Page has been cast as mutant Kitty Pryde in X3. Producers are now out to find Warren "Angel" Worthington's father in the film!

Patrick Stewart has been talking to Simon Mayo on BBC Radio Fivelive about X3. According to Stewart the studio are in close contact with him and are still aiming for a July start to filming so they can meet their previously scheduled Summer 2006 release date. Still no word on a director, but he is expecting a copy of the script in his hanRAB within the next couple of weeks. So at least the film is still on cause for a 2006 release date!

In the comics the Dark Phoenix storyline is when Jean Grey had become bonded with the Phoenix, a cosmic entity of almost limitless power and this power corrupted Jean Grey turning her into Dark Phoenix!

I really enjoyed X3 and cant wait for the extended DVD to be released before the end of the year!
Avi Arad has been talking about Wolverine and he said "I don't want to call it a prequel nor a sequel. It is Wolverine's story and it is really concentrating on him. It's about his life, his mysteries, and his loves. It's not really a prequel or a sequel. It's just a story like in the comics where we have X-Men, Wolverine, and books dealing with the other X-Men". So it is neither a prequel or a sequel to the X Men films!
Also I have read rumours that Brett Ratner will be directing Wolverine after the studio were happy with the sucess of X3!

Appartently Angel will be a male not female and Gambit isn't going to have a major role in X Men 3. However Beast will be major character in the film and he will also be seen in his transformed state. Finally Cyclops won't have much of a role in the next film but that not surprising with James Marsden leaving for Superman so it looks like Cyclops will be recast!

AHHH! I knew there was something at the end of the credits...but I didn't think it would be this important! ARGH!!!! Does it happen to be anywhere on the net, like Youtube or something?

But anyway, the film ROCKED!!!

Hope it's as good as the other 2, have a feeling that without Bryan Singer it won't be as good, but it will take an massive idiot to make it bad..

It is not showing in my local cinema as they stopped showing it ages ago. I would very suprised if you could find a chain cinema still showing X3!
So does anybody know if there is going to be a X3 Extended Edition DVD or is it all just rumours at the moment?

Writer Simon Kinberg who wrote X3 and is writing Wolverine has been talking about the spin off film. He said "Wolverine doesn't exactly come after X3 so what happens to him is not terribly relevant to his own movie. We did talk about a couple of characters that they wanted to save for the Wolverine movie spin-off. I can't tell you who they are, but there was really only one we wanted to use for X3, and they said they're not going to have a big enough part to risk losing them for Wolverine. Sabretooth will be in there, but I don't know in what form. I think his relationship with Wolverine is under explored."

Here is some news about X4 from Superherohype website:

"
"X-Men" executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner talked to LA Daily News about X-Men 4, for which they would have to renegotiate with the bigger stars, and also Wolverine and Magneto:

"The newer cast members are signed, and the older cast members are not." Considering the older names involved -- Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Romijn, Famke Janssen and Anna Paquin -- that could run into a huge chunk of money.

All that's putting the cart before the wolverine, of course, since Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role as the manicure-challenged mutant superhero in his own film. "Next, we're going to do 'Wolverine,' but not before the end of the year because he's in the Baz Luhrmann film," she says of the filmmaker's untitled Australian epic with Nicole Kidman. However, "We have the script and are working on it."

Shuler Donner reports, "We also have 'Young Magneto' in development."
