But it was only released on 26th/May/2006 it should still be in the box office, cause when i looked on www.imdb.com and An American Haunting is still on there but it only made like $13.4M. Its like x-men 3 was erased from the box office, cause it should be still in there cause the week has not finished yet.

Its only been in the US cinema for 4 days, i think its weird.
 
I'm still hoping for an extended version on DVD. Y'know one which is finished, as opposed to the disjointed and obviously hacked up version we saw at the cinema.

A quality DC saved Daredevil, and I'm sure the same can be done for X-Men 3.
 
I have just seen this on moviehole.net which will make any X Men fan very worried about the future of the third film:

Not surprisingly, word is that a new draft is being penned for the film as we speak by Zak Penn."

The way its going at the moment I will be very surprised if we see X3 if these rumours are true as losing both Famke Janssen and James Marsden would be a complete disater!
 
what the last film, then why has Vinnie Jones said he has signed up2 films 4,5! i hope this is the end of this story and then 3 more films on a different story, not Magneto!
 
Yeah they are promoting X3 as the last film as appartently there will be no X4 as the studio have stated that there is no way they can top X3. The have got the Wolverine and Magento spin off films to come in the next few years anyway!
It doesnt matter that Vinny Jones is signed up for X4 and 5 as that is normal for studio to make sure that actors are signed up for future possible sequels even if they dont happen. So it is looking like X4 is not very likely at all!
 
Yeh... She's said she's probably done with comic book movies... Unless they make a Catwoman 2!? (god, I hope not!) Any respect I might have had for her went totally out of the window after that remark... She probably would do X3 if it was totally written around Storm... Ego much? :D

I say, stuff Halle, and give Jada Pinkett Smith a call. Think she'd make an great Storm. :)
 
Avi Arad has just said that they purposely left scenes out so we can get an extended edition of X-men 3 on DVD. Most people complained that this film was too short and rushed, well here's hoping the DVD will change this opinion!
 
There are lots of rumours about Gambits in X3 as some casting and talent agents say the role has already been cast but more recent rumours say that Gambit role has been cut from the film completly!

Remember they starting filming Xmen 3 in Summer 05 so they took almost a year to do so... which is good

Im glad Wolverine film is out in 2007, but its a stiff year for competition I think Spiderman 3 (new trailor looks awesome) is due May 07 and Fantastic Four 2 due June so the Summer time slots well and truely taken up if anything id expect Wolverine to take on the big Xmas 07 !

I dont know if Vinnie Jones has been officially confirmed as the majority of reports seem to come from the british newspapers!
The only cast for X3 confirmed so far are returning cast members such as Famke Janssen and Hugh Jackman. Halle Berry, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are still in negotiations. Also James Marsden has said he wants to come back as well!
The offical cast will have to be confirmed in the next few months as filming is due to start on the July 15!
 
That article on aintitcool is not encouraging at all. But as X-men fans know, it's hard to kill an X-man. How many have actually stayed dead. Colossus, Illyana... I'm struggling now.
 
I hate it when they do that. Why leave scenes out a theatrical release, just so you can sell the DVD as something people haven't seen. This is a poor money-making scheme and shame on any director who intentionally does it.

If a director had any artistic integrity he would do everything in his power to make the final cut, exactly that; final. It should be the cut as he sees it best. Adding in addtional footage later is acceptable if, say, the director didn't have final say at the time, or shots couldn't be completed on time for release. But to intentionally not release he best cut of the film, just to make sure people will see it twice is pure money-grabbing unprofessionalism.

I think its a real liberty. I loved X-Men 3, but it was way too short and to think they did that on purpose, when they didn't have to. Very bad, IMO.
