WYSIWYG and HTML text editors?

I have an essay to write about what you see is what you get (wysiwyg) and HTML text editors, I have to compare and contrast them in a paragraph and I cannot find a website that tells me how they differ and how they are the same. If you know of any place I could use it would be very helpful. All I need is a website or two.
