Wyh do the British always have to make media hypes?

Jade goodie, Susan boyle, and now Jewdward! Why do the British seem obliged to make a buzz and hype out of ordinary people turning them into huge stars. The worst is that they over mediatize those people so much that we heard of them even aboad!

If those people were either French, German or Spanish no one would ever know about them!
Why is it that every small buzz in Britain becomes a worldwide huge deal ?
 
You're giving the British a lot of credit as it pertains to controlling the world wide media. N. America makes it a big deal because it ends up being a big deal on youtube. The viewers on youtube are the ones you should be getting angry at.
 
Not just the Brits...

it's a gullible public who wants to be entertained combined with lazy journalists out to make a quick buck rather than covering "difficult" topics. those are the ones that require research and no one wants to read about real problems anyway.
