For history class I have to make my own propaganda poster for world war one. Basically I need to promote buying victory bonds to fund the war or encourage enlistment. I also need to distort the facts somewhat since it's supposed to be a propaganda poster. Does anyone have any idea of what I can draw and what slogan I can use? Please keep in mind I live in Canada.

Here is a link to some of the posters that the Canadian govenment used in World War One to promote the purchase of victory bonds.http://www.firstworldwar.com/posters/canada.htmPropaganda posters were very persuasive and are supposed to capture the attention of the reader. You could use slogans that say things like "Do you want to stop this? Victory bonds is the way to help", or anything along those lines...Hope that this helps

Many of the recruting posters emphasised how cruel the Germans were, carrying out atrocities against civilians, using poison gas, etc.You could try something on that theme.Look at the posters below: One talks about the bombardment of Scarborough, on the NE coast of England, by the German Navy. The other encourages Irishmen to join up in revenge for the sinking of the Lusitania.
