WTF is wrong with BP continually underreporting their estimates

They originally came out and said the pipe they shoved in the leak was sucking up like 3/4 of the flow from the main leak.

Now they're saying oops - it's only half that.

I think that trying to estimate the leak size from 5,000' away using grainy images from subs is probably kinda tough and open to interpretation. I think BP would interpret the numbers to make themselves look better.

No matter what anyone says....no one has the "correct" size. Everyone is guessing.

obama publishes whatever he wants and libfag sheep just let him do that. how is this any different

You can be sure they are going to downplay it up to and including the maximum amount allowable by law.

It shouldn't be that hard to calculate reasonably close to how much is being shot into the ocean and how much they are recovering.... it is their job y'know

don't know...They are the experts. But even the people calling BS on the BP numbers are all over the place in terms of their estimates. Final answer=no one really knows.

i guess it's completely accepted to lie to the public... but when you're dealing with a ecological disaster why try to be conservative with you estimate? i'd think you just report what the scientists actually are calculating and if it turns out to be too much at least it doesn't look so bad when the real numbers are figured

i just think we should have some tea and crumpets and discuss this in a civilized manner

i don't buy that shit... and if no one knows i'd expect they report these things with a margin of error included in their findings
