WTF is up...

with all these people asking the Ducati forum what bike is right for them? It's almost like you are riding what we approve for you to ride. Go demo a bike, if you like it, buy it. Simple as that. I'm tired of all these "What should I get" threads. If you think Ducati is a piece of shit, GTFO. If you think Ducatis break all the time and you hate it sell your bike and GTFO. I love my 1098 and will never go back to a Jap bike but that's my opinion. If you use my opinion to make your decision so be it but I guarantee you will regret it. The Ducati isn't the fastest bike in the world. It's not the most reliable. Hell, it'll probably cost you a ton in maintenance but if you have love for the marque and bike then who cares. If it brings you joy and happiness do it. Otherwise stop asking us if you want a Ducati or not. My 2 cents.

Still didn't stop you from answering though http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10714&page=2

We were all curious newbs once (except for Mrgrn whose was an amoeba like creature imo) . It's getting crazy once again around here for sure.
Must be the Northern Hemisphere, hibernation restlessness, cabin fever kicking in again huh?

Does anyone know what oil I should use BTW? And where can I get something for nothing?

Ms TW - NO! If your worried, maybe it will look smaller on a 1098 :

Technical questions like tyres and oil are one thing. Exhaust is mostly an opinionated question depending on what sound you like. But the bike, c'mon. It's like asking should I get a red shirt or blue shirt. Who gives a shit what other people think. It's like buying a Ferrari, hating the car but driving it because everyone approves of it. The other people aren't driving it so who cares. You should get what you like.

TW- No

Brett- I understand that we were all curious newbs but still. Do we really need 100 of these threads? Everyone answers the same question the same way. As far as answering that thread, it wasn't until after that I really thought about the topic. I don't mean to sound like an ass but people should think for themselves.

hmmm.. i guess it's kinda funny sometimes.. ya know ..the same questions.. other people giving their $.02.. i guess that people should just make up their own minds..

but then again, i'm not a newbie.. but i like to read mags to find out what the test rides say about new bikes..or modified options as well. and i always look forward to Sir Alan Cathcart's reviews online or in a mag..

maybe it's the same kinda thing.. 2nd opinions from a forum of strangers, or a mag giving their opinions on some of the same questions.. it would probably be a lot easier for people if test rides were more redly available.. who knows.. is kinda funny though..
