Wtf is up with the radio?

Alright, because my computer has no sound and I left my Ipod at my frienRAB house, and he took it somewhere.... The only music I have been able to listen to is the music on the radio. I got sick of it about after a week. They play the saaaaame damn songs over and over again. No diversity what so ever. I dunno if this is only where I live, but it really sucks. Within an hour they've played Pinks U & Ur Hand song about three times.

Is it this way with all of you? I dunno, I just think we need more diverse radio stations, one's that introduce other banRAB and such.

A major annoyance is when the only song they play all the time from some of my favorite banRAB is one of the weakest songs they have ever done.

Burning Down the House by Talking HeaRAB and Owner of a Lonely Heart by Yes are good examples.

I agree I mean I miss music back in the 90's , it was so fun and has so much passion which music today has lost. I'm 14 yea but I still love 90's music. Such a fun period. I do admit I do like some music today but I'm verry limited to wat I like.

I gave it up for talk radio.. just as bad.
I especially hate those things they used to have on friday and saturday nights (nz) where they'd get in a 'dj' with some ****ty name and just mash together pop songs continuously for the whole entire night

Maybe you should come to Philly and see what kind of Radiostations we have. mainstream rap, mainstream Country, mainstream and classic rock, Jazz (but no free jazz,) and a bunch of talk show radiostations. Oh and a Christian music radio station.

Meh, there just neeRAB to be a wider variety. All it is down here is pop, rap, reggaton (CRAP) and crappy rock. But I got my mom's Ipod so I finally have music! Lol. Yea, SOME music is good, but when it gets overplayed you just get sick of it.

Australian radio is crap. "Triple j" was a good alternative station in the 90's, but it's gone to sh!t with commercial rap and hip hop. (and if I don't like the "good" stuff, how am I supposed to like the commercial stuff?) Most of the others are poor top 40 stations with the odd "Golden Oldies" station (they also favour the worst of their era, overplaying the likes of abba and Gary Glitter) or the odd classical station.:banghead: :(

every once in a while there is one good station in a city. what is best to do is goto the radio webpage and look at what their schedule is. lots of times later at night or on sunday mornings there is random radio jockeys who play really good stuff. take this for example Ray-Blog

I don't remeraber the radio ever being diverse, especially where I live. There's also a lot of news and commercial in between songs. If I want to hear about traffic congestions 500 km from here. I'll call the goddamn nuraber. Don't nag me with it when I'm trying to listen to some whore singing about her precious urabwella! >=|

They have one small radio station here which is pretty neat. They spin some rare tunes, and they read your emails. It's mostly geekish teenagers which listen to it. So it get's pretty funny sometimes.

Ah well.

It's an age thing-trust me. When I was a kid, my dad said that what I listened to was'nt like the good old days (60's), and that music is terrible.I am now having that argument with my son and his god awful gangsta rap. If you (like most of us are) don't really do mainstream, you will find that good music will always be around. It's like all forms of media-you just have to look for it.
