WTF, Blue jeans IS Denim, right...?

Okay, so I'm transferring to a new school, and I read the dress code/SSA and it says this:

" -No blue jeans
-Denim pants in basic/ optional colors "

So, my question is that isn't blue jeans denim?

I know this sounds sort of dumb, but I don't wanna get dress code when I come to school, haha.

I can see where you're confused. I think they're saying no jeans in a blue color. But you can wear black jeans. Just nothing that looks too casual... because blue jeans are very casual looking. Black jeans are a lot fancier
