I am attempting to write an advice book and need a few pointers. I am using "thoughts" written in one sentence, almost like a "thought of the day" but these thoughts indicate what is talked about the paragraph below it. They are essentially introductory statements.
It's unconventional, I am sure, but I find it quite interesting to format in this way, but I would like to know if I can do such a thing. Is it allowed? I would like to center these sentences/quotes and put them in Italics and/or quotes. These quotes are thoughts that are in first person, from an anonymous speaker.
The put it this way, it's basically a quote about how one might feel in a particular situation, and then the following paragraph explains these feelings further, and of course offers advice in dealing with it.
I hope this is not to confusing, and I hope that someone can shed some light for me.
Thanks
