Writers: Does it seem the plot is longer while writing it rather than reading it?

I'm not really a writer; I'm just a kid who writes as a hobby. I couldn't really overestimate myself. But when I write, the events seem to go by slowly. When I read it over, it seems short and punctuated. Do you feel the same way?

It depends on where I'm at in the story. If I'm having a bit of writer's block, then yes, writing seems to take a lot longer, otherwise they seem about the same. Sometimes, if the plot seems short and punctuated, I'll add more descriptions or another chapter to make it flow better.

Absolutely. I work for literally months and months on something that someone is going to read in a few hours - at least, I HOPE someone is going to read it!
