H Hemu New member Sep 17, 2009 #2 Ok Robyn, I don't know which grade you are in. If u know Finite Differences, then by a simple use of Newton's Forward Interpolation, the answer to the first part is f ( x ) = 5 + ( x / 2 ). Of course, the same answer can also be obtained by common sense.
