Conclusion - My chi-squared value is 2.34. The critical chi-squared value of the chi-squared distribution for a 95% confidence test with one degree of freedom is 3.84. Since the computed value of 2.34 is less than 3.84, I cannot reject the null hypothesis of equality at 95% level and as a result I accept it. I conclude that the rate of healing for the new drug X is equivalent to the rate of healing for the existing drug Y.
