So, a couple weeks ago I got hit by another vehicle, I got a ticket for failure to yield (switching lanes) (cop said I am supposed to give them a 100 yards signal notice to switch lanes..which Idk how is possible but, whatever) so, my insurance company which is progressive called me today and she said that they are going to send an adjuster out to look at my car probably on monday, but they would contact me before they get here.I have a 2005 cavalier, with quite a bit of damage, and 175,000 miles on it.. she said she is 99 percent sure they are going to total it. if thats the case-- when they total it will they take the car then, give me a few hours, few days...? also, she says I have only liability on the car, but i still have a loan through the bank for the car which requires me to have full coverage, which I thought I had.. Ive paid them 3500$ the past three years for insurance. so, im assuming since I was ticketed in the accident and I only have "liability" I will receive no check for the blue book value of the car.. or anything. so, my main question is how long with they give me after the car is totaled by the adjuster before they come and tow it? I dont know what to do! :/
not really.. do I need someone else here when the adjuster comes??
