WPA Pre-Shared Key Question?

I am trying to make our internet secure after discovering that many people had been using our internet in our neighborhood. We have the linksys befw11s4 v4. I went to the linksys page, renamed our SSID, went to Wireless Security, enabled security. I set it for a WPA Pre-Shared Key and was going to set our WPA Algorithm to AES, but that was not an option. I could only choose TKIP. Why is that?
Being that was my only option, I set our passphrase. Question about that: Since it is a 'Temporal' key, does that mean I have to make a new password every 3600 seconds? I was happy to see that our internet was now secure and I could only join if I entered our password. Got my laptop connected and I thought all was going to be ok, even with TKIP instead of AES. Next, I went to connect our other laptop and, even though I knew the password was correct, it would not connect. Can I only connect ONE laptop to our WiFi? I cannot connect our other laptop or iPod Touch or anything, just my laptop.

So basically I am asking:
Why is AES not an option?
What does TKIP mean as in Temporal?
Why can I not connect other devices to the internet?

Thanks for any help, I am not an expert on this stuff!!
