Haha, VHS.

I still have a rather hefty VHS collection. I've a lot of doubles now, but there are some things that just seem "right" on VHS. I just can't see myself watching Dead Alive on DVD.

/me shrugs. Sentimental bullshit.

I found two old Betamax tapes in the basement three days ago. My dad said they were probably his friends as we never owned a Beta player.

We did get a LaserDisc player back in 1994 though. Thing was fucking awesome at the time, $40 movies and all.

I was so taken aback by it.

"Oh my God...Dude...I can go to any part of the movie I want at any time? And holy crap that's a sharp picture! Lion King looks so REAL! OMG! Commentary! Holy fucking crap deleted scenes on Track 32!"

I miss my laser disk. OK well it was my dads. But that was some cool shit back in the dizzay.

I still use VHS. Some movies just don't translate to DVD well.

Hey I'll give out my address to WTFers who want to unload some VHS tapes on me. Of course if I have to pay for shipping, we'll have to figure out how much it would be. Then it's road trip time.

Got it to work, apparently, the Subtitle button functions as the T-SET button, printed in light blue 6-point font.

Fucking retarded.

whats up with most of the people on this thread being douchebags to Descent?

the thing about having to press another button to activate the t-set function : ITS NOT A FUCKING CALCULATOR, theres no need to fucking have buttons double as something else, especially when the 2nd function is in 6-point font lol

i am a fan of the oldies, i own a 78 VW van, an original rca record player complete with vintage records, and as such, own tons of VHS', im only 16, but i can see why the older people on the forum love VHS

Descent deserves everything that's thrown at him, including but not limited to people being douchebags to him. I wouldn't expect someone who only registered in 2009 to know about Descent's previous behavior over the past 4 - 4.5 years.

I also read the other day that stand alone VHS players will no longer be made, but you can still get VHS/DVD combo units.

I dont think I've seen tapes anywhere but garage sales anymore.
