You have to make changes if you want to limit your reliance on multinational corporations.
I sold my car and didn't buy another, we use one small car between two of us, and drive it as little as possible, spending less than $10 per week on gas. I got a job ten minutes walk from home, we live in the city and walk to the shops which are at the end of the street.
I buy as much as I can from local businesses that sell Australian grown and manufactured products, we also recycle.
 
The worst part is the oil damage to the marshes has been declared all but irreparable. Only choices are to drown the marsh and float the oil back out to sea, or torch the oil and burn down the marsh.
 
This was the first discovery. The recent well was another one.


What's off our coast is billions to be made. Lots and lots of billions.
 
I've never listened to the Rush Limbaugh show and I don't follow political commentary.

You've got it backwards, one of the reasons we're drilling out there is because of government oversight.
 
How long have people been fucking with the Gulf coast shoreline without anyone giving a shit?
