Now this is very strange to have a level 62 DK and have him jump to 80. I had many of my account(s) hacked into and retrieved many times. Every time this has never happened. Are you sure the person that hacked your account did not level him to 80? If you contact the GM about getting your items back from your 73 and 42 they will get that going, they shouldn't re-investigate your level 72 DK. I know your pain about the GM's, they take so dang long.

WoW GM restore hacked account?

So I just got my account back from being hacked, and discovered that my 62 DK is now 80, but my 73 main and 42 alt have been stripped of gold and gear. If I did contact a GM and have an investigation to restore the account, would they make my DK 62 again? I'd like to have my gear and gold back, but the last time it was restored all I got was a few hundred gold on each character. I'm thinking if they could only get the gold back, i'd rather not talk to a GM at all and play from here. Anyone have experiences like this and know the answer? Answers appreciated, Thanks!!
