Wow. Do YOU know how many PS3 and Wii consoles sold after launch? (w/ UPDATES)

yeah but who really wants a blu-ray player seems like most movies come out on standard dvd and hd-dvd with onyl a few hitting blu-ray. sony ftl

Just about all the commercials are showing the movies are availible on HD-DVD instead of Blu-Ray. i last remember seeing that because of the problems with putting a movie on Blu-Ray caused most of the movie companies to shift to HD-DVD instead of Blu-Ray.

I doubt it. Game manufacturers for the Gamecube, Dreamcast, and PS1 have had multi-disc games. I'm not aware of any on the xbox or ps2, but if they wanted to make some epic games, they could easily just make it and put it on multiple discs. It'll probably be a while before any game manufacturer makes a game that takes up 50GB. It'll probably be right around the time that these 3 consoles are at the end of their lifespans.

360 sales isnt that high atall, its been out for over a year now.

Putting it into perspective, the PS2 sold 16 million units in 1 year.

Wonder if the Wii will beat any records...

360 is doing very well for a $399 console. PS2 wasn't nearly as expensive so of course it sold better. The fact that a $399 console is going to have an installed base in the 9M-10M range after a year is pretty amazing.

Wait until the 360 has a price drop early next year.

Uh when the PS2 first came out over here it was ?300, I assume it was $300 over there too?

A $100 difference doesnt account for over half the amount of sales lol They are doing good, but not that good.

360 is doing VERY well in the states, its failed everywhere else though.
