Wouldn't you say it is a natural desire for a woman to want to be taken care of by her

mate? These women from Eastern Europe for instance; the Ukraine, Russia etc. who marry with the expectation they will be looked after and will be family and home oriented rather than work oriented? Again, not to go too overboard on my hatred of Oprah Winfrey, like yesterday, but she was doing a show about women's lifestyles around the world and interviewing this one woman from the Ukraine who put her details on a mail-order bride site and now has been happily married for 6 years to a man from New York. The woman in question did not come across like a whore or prostitute or anything. She dated the man in question for many many months so it was a proper courtship. Her country and culture is such that this one of the only relative options open to women. Oprah kept harrassing her though very passive aggressively stating the reason she has such respect for the women in Denmark is because everyone is so independent and everyone is an equal (with the implication these women from the Ukraine and Russia ought to be spit at or something). It seemed she was doing all she could not to shout 'fuck you stupid Ukraine slut'. Oprah has never been in the shoes of these women and yet she was incredibly judgemental toward them. I feel like alot of these women are of the view that there are more important things in life than ostensible, worldly acheivements and they prefer the affection of a warm homelife instead of ruling the world. Many of these marriages turn out to be incredibly happy.

Why do women like Oprah Winfrey get so venemous when it comes to women that find no joy in absolute independence but instead prefer to be looked after and be the feminine counterpart in the relationship?
She also couldn't understand the concept of arranged marriages when about half the earth's population actually lives this way. The only lifestyle to be praised in her opinion is this one where everyone is 100% self sufficient and autonomous. But ,why can't different things work for different people?
