It's a drama and most dramas are an hour. Sitcoms are a 1/2 hour! A 1/2 hour is just not long enough in my opinon.
Also, wouldn't it be also great if they made a spinoff about some of the characters after they graduate? For a while, they were following some of the teens after they went to college like with Emma, Manny, and Liberty and that was cool!
