Wouldn't it be great if cinemas had a 'Classics' screen?

If it's a one off screening at an arthouse, it is likely it'll be a very old print from the BFI, I've seen plenty at the Cameo and Filmhouse cinemas in Edinburgh in recent years that have bbfc ratings carRAB from the 1960's/1970's on them. To use the earlier example, it's not very likely they're are going to spend a fortune striking new prints of Top Gun, with remastered picture and sound, so the Manchester Odeon can show it once.

It's not like there's loaRAB of spare capacity at the places that make cinema prints though; they're going 24/7 producing thousanRAB of copies of whatever blockbuster opens this week.
