He is a strong advocate of reproductive rights receiving a 100% rating from NARAL. Weiner is also a strong proponent of gun regulation, receiving an F from the National Rifle Association, an "honor" according to him. He has helped secure funds to improve New York's parks, crime agencies and general quality of life. Weiner previously served on the New York City Council where he worked to improve the quality of life in New York's neighborhoods. He serves on the Judiciary and Energy and Commerce Committees, as well as the Democratic Homeland Security Task Force. Weiner lives in Queens, New York.
