Would you recommend I finish A-levels before joining the Royal Marines as a Commando?

I'd really like some opinions on this one:

I'm 17 and am a British citizen, I currently live in Australia, and have finished my (Australian equivalent of-) GCSEs (passing all my subjects), right now I want to leave school and just work to save up enough money to go to Britain so as to apply for the Royal Marines, probably in a year's time. As opposed to staying in school and completing the Australian equivalent of A-levels. If I stayed in school I would have to wait another year before fulfilling my dream of joining the British Military, but would have a higher education than I have now. I know being a Royal Marines commando does not require any official qualifications.

My question is, would me not finishing my A-levels seriously effect my chances of joining, even if i pass all the Royal Marines tests? I'm not really asking if you would personally recommend I finish my education, I'm more asking if you think the Royal Marines would be more likely to reject me having not finished my A-levels, EVEN THOUGH according to them no formal qualifications are required?

I'd really, really appreciate it if you took the time to answer this, thanks.

I can see your point, and thanks for answering, but I'm not trying to get a general picture here, I'm just trying to find out if not finishing A levels will decrease my chances of joining in anyway? I just want to get my facts straight.
