Okay, so I've been planning this for the last couple of years (when I started high school) and I was just wondering if anyone would actually read it...
"You really don't know me at all."
"You'd be surprised at what I know about you Molly."
Molly Stockholm didn't realise the endless possibilities of her future until the giddily enchanting Silas Grave entered her life.
Injected with a harsh dose of reality, she struggles to exist in her ever changing surroundings with only glimpses of the life that was so cruelly taken away from her. However, one constant remains in her whirlwind life.
Silas.
Bitter, ruthless and broken, he introduces her into a world of tragedy and elegance she never knew existed. Unable to contact the real world, Molly is forced to find friendship with a mentally unstable bank robber, obsessive compulsive medical school dropout and a megalomaniacal pervert.
So yeah. That's the crappy synopsis I wrote for it. If you didn't get anything from that (and believe I would not be surprised if you didn't) then basically it goes like this.
Molly's life is relatively normal. She lives with her parents and younger brother in the town of Grandview. She has her group of best friends and she loves them all dearly. Her father was in a car accident when she was in her last year of high school and he became paralysed which sent him into a very bad depression and resulted in him committing suicide nearly a year later (which is when the book is set). At the funeral, Silas -a instantly dislikable young man from a party she'd gone to with her best friends- turns up, much to her disgust and knocks her out. Unable to reach the outside world, Molly suffers in darkness as she becomes subject to rape, torture and the manipulative mind games of one seriously sick guy (Silas). The other thing is, it's not a love story exactly. Every bad thing he does to her he explains it's because he loves her, but she hates him. Even though she realises he's the only thing she has left in her life and somewhat cares for him in that sense, she loathes him for the things he does and when he does let her go, she makes it her personal objective to make him pay. Molly wasn't designed to be the damsel in distress XD though she does have her moments, I think that being put into that situation, even the strongest person will crack at some point. This is really a story about the bad things that can happen. When someone is kidnapped, it's very unlikely that they will fall in love and live happily ever after or get bought designer clothing and eat pancakes everyday. This is a harsh story depicting the horror that a kidnap victim can be put through =) (oh btw, sorry if this seems a little bad, I'm only fifteen so my knowledge and grammar is a little off) thank you =D
