Ford has a much better reputation than dodge so i would go with that... i know some people who have taurus's and they have'nt had any trouble... the rebate is a good offer too

I liked the looks of the Caliber when it first came out, and considered buying one. Then I had the opportunity (twice, in fact) to drive one as a rental. Both times, they were new, low-mileage cars, so it wasn't like they'd been beaten up or driven into the ground. But they were flat-out AWFUL. I was so quickly soured on the Caliber that I won't even accept one as a rental any more.

go for the dodge, it looks better and has more power. also its back seats fold down. You may get $3000 back on the focus but you will be happier in the dodge.
