Would you rather have an iPod touch, or an iPhone?

The 8gb ipod touch is brand new and $200.

The 8gb iPhone is used, $150, safari won't work, and it is unlocked.

I am buying one for Christmas and I'm not sure.
Reasons Plz.
 
honestly I'd take the iPhone but: 1.I'm not about to join AT&T 2. even if I did I;m not paying AT&T's ridiculous rates. an iPhone plan comes to $2,000 for the 2 year plan

unlocked iPhones are great because you can you use them on another network but they're slower and not under warranty, and of course that one is used and you have no clue where it's been or what's been done with it
