I'm moving from the US to Trinidad in June of 2010, and I'm considering the options for my poor bicycle. I will only be in Trinidad for 4 years, and it's not a very bike-friendly country.
My bike is a vintage road bike that I love dearly and has a lot of sentimental value. It has at least 10 more years of ride left in her, and I can do all the necessary maintenance.
I can fly with the bike for $300, or I can ship it for $450.
If I don't take the bike, there isn't much point in storing it in the US.
Just like my question above asks, would you pay to move your bike? How much is too much?
