Would you pay for a new .sys AIM program?

I know a buddy that is a great coder and he might develop a AIM program for s60 phones depending on the response.

No guarantees that he is going to make this, but the question is Would you pay for a Native Symbian .sys program that connects to AIM/and does basic AIM Functions?

"Not really as there's too many FREE alternatives." Really? Please share.

My understanding it that there is only IM+ and AgileMessenger, and I'm under the impression that NEITHER of those DIRECTLY connect to AIM servers, rather go through their own proxy (big thumbs down for me).

I'd pay for a direct connect AIM client, but S60 native, not java.

I don't think I'd pay for a sys application since it probably wouldn't install. A sIs application, however, and I may throw in a few bucks into the pot.

Wirelessly posted (Nokia E61: BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Well I guess people are willing to pay so hopefully it gets developed and ill pick it up for free

Hmmmm.. A free MSN+AIM+Yahoo+GTalk+Whatever client would be great.... -_-" We are still missing that, surprisingly.

No, I wouldn't pay for it as I aleady have a free MSN Client and AIM isn't something I use regularly.
