As in dropped off a newborn under that law? Do you feel strongly for or against it, like such issues as abortion?
Why do you think that woman aren't using them? I know in my state, not a single baby has been dropped off, however I still read reports on infant deaths or near death infants.
(BTW - this totally steamed from another question)
I dont know why they dont either. In my state I heard about it for weeks. I wonder how to reach those people who could use that "service" (not sure what to call it) better. Something is missing and being missed.
kitkat i read about some of the older kids that were dropped off. the one article i read talked about how this one mom did it because her child would finally get the care he needed. she couldn't get it for him/her by herself. it actually sounded gut wrenching to be in that womans shoes - the state could finally give her child the care that she couldn't. what kind of position is that to be in? but thats a whole other can of worms....
