Would you have a triple screen test?

My second ultrasound is 9/30 to find out the gender and look at the anatomy.the doctor asked if i would like to get the triple screen and she told me what it was she said i didn't have to it was optional.i said yes but now im having Second thoughts because ive heard of false positives.im only 22 and there are no birth defects in either side of our families.should i get it or just cancel it so i want have to worry while the results come back..
 
It's up to you. I had the first trimester screen, which is different from the triple screen. A lot of what they test for is not genetic, but a spontaneous thing. If your u/s looked good, I don't see why you would have to - especially if it wouldn't affect if you had the baby or not.
