Would You Go To A Restaurant That Had A "B" In The Window?

Usually I don't, but I just came back from my favorite Chinese take-out spot in Watts (Los Angeles), and they had a "B". Back in the day, I used to work in a service deli at a grocery store, so I do know that the health dept. can down grade establishments for minor things, resulting in a "B".

Conversely, I've been to many places that were nasty, but still had an "A". I obviously do not know why they have a "B", but I ordered since I drove a few miles and I was familiar with the spot. In the back of my mind, I feel a decent restuarant is working their way back to obtaining that "A"...which also influenced my decision to eat their food.

What do would you do in this situation?

maybe their inspector was just picky. yeah sure i would still shop there. i would notice if something looks nasty.

I have eaten at restaurants with a B or even C. If they're a little family-style place, or a dive, I figure they can't pass the rating because they're small and poor. But if I hit a chain restaurant like Applebees and saw a B, I wouldn't go in. They just about have to fry a live rat to get a B.

Depends.

If they got a B...but I KNOW they got good food then ima take my chances, because a B aint all that bad atall. Its just like how you would let your friends slide with sh*t cuz you know they're cool peoples lol...they have an otherwise good track record and are probably just havin a lil trouble, and they need time to get tings inna order. So IMO they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

If 2 months later they still got a B in front...then its time to start shoppin around for a new spot because standards are slippin.

But i wouldnt eat at a B ranked restaruant for the first time.
