My Toyota 4-runner overheated and blew a head Gasket, water in oil but not making any funny sounds, stills sounds good. Mechanic will charge 1100.00 to fix and blue book value is 4100.00. Would fix to sell or junk. mechanic price is for both headgaskets resurfacing change oil and waterpump (just in case the water pump is bad), Is there anything else you would do while in there? Also this is a newer motor it only has about 90,000 miles the car says it has 136,000 miles on it, motor was replaced and all new hoses and belts. Please help mechanic has it now.
I have a 2005 van so I don't need it but I hate to get rid of it by junking it because book value is 4000.00 If I fix it and it works.
