I don't just mean some fancy restaurant. A small sushi place and similar restaurants also count.
I'm afraid to eat in front of people, but I still occasionally go to restaurants. Always by myself, though. Or with my mom, if we are somewhere together.
I never realized it was seen as weird until a couple years ago, when I heard some people saying they would never go to a restaurant without someone else, because they would feel really awkward.
The last time I went to a restaurant by myself was earlier this week.
